Hmmmm…. Everything appears to work except for smilies.

*confused look*

I didn’t change anything… it just crashed.

Dec. 31st!

Tuesday, December 31st, 2002

Some things aren’t showing up right now - things are being a little screwy with my site. *Hopes this posts*

Anyways, I can’t believe it’s December 31st! Earlier, I was reading through my journal from this time last year - and the entry for December 30th was written during a very long night… I was waiting to hear if my brother was okay after his car accident. I spent basically that entire night wondering… Reading that entry just brought those feelings from that night back. I just remember how silent that night was and how I spent most of that night alone. Things ended up working out and everything is fine with my brother back then. It’s just kind of strange to think that it was a year ago already.

The journal entry also talked about how I was supposed to go see Fellowship of the Rings that night - but I didn’t go. Had I gone, I would have been returning home on the same road - around the time of his accident.

It’s strange thinking back on all the things that have changed/are different than this time last year. I’d say it was an even mixture of good and bad.

I’ve been trying to come up with resolutions for this year! I kept a list of the ones I made up last year…I can’t find it at the moment though. I thought it would be interesting to see if I actually followed through with any of them. *wink* *starts making a list for 2003*

It really blows my mind it’s almost 2003. Just when I get used to writing 2002 on the date…=)

Oh, before I forget - I was reading some news story on IMDB and it linked to this site, which has a bunch of Japanese commercials with celebrities. (Harrison, Brad, Winona, Ewan, etc… you name ‘em, they have a foreign commercial lol) Enjoy ;)

I hope everyone has a wonderful (and safe) New Years! *hug*

the things I find late at night…

Monday, December 30th, 2002

I was watching short films on Atomfilms.com - and I found this one… I had forgotten about it. It was the first thing I ever watched on this site… and it’s still my fave. :)
Creature Comforts - It’s not very long. Maybe five minutes. It’s done by the people who do “Wallace & Gromit”.

This site could entertain me for hours - there is so much stuff! For example:

The Critic (I used to love that show)

This one cracked me up - The Blind Date - poor guy!

That’s enough for now… I could go on and on. :) I really should set up a category to organize all the posts of things I find late at night… (like the propaganda films from a few weeks back) I find such silly/odd/weird things to just entertain me at night.

The Two Towers (again)

Sunday, December 29th, 2002

I went to see The Two Towers last night for the 2nd time - and I kept noticing that the guy who plays Théoden looked familiar to me, but I couldn’t place him… so I checked on IMDB when I got home - and I’m remembering him as the captain of the ship in Titanic. (even though I haven’t watched that in years…)

*useless info for the day*

Anyways, the movie was just as enjoyable for me the 2nd time…

These people brought little kids (we’re talking maybe 4-6 years old) to the movie - and it was the 8:15pm showing… so it would be past 11 before the movie got out. Anyways, they brought these kids… and they didn’t make too much noise - but you could tell some of the people sitting around them were irked. Well, there was this one scene - where Arwen and Aragorn were kissing - and the theater was completely silent - except for this little kid who yells, “ewwwwwwwwwww!”
 It was just cute.

Anyways, I was still surprised they brought such young kids… sheesh.

Still a great movie though.

**

Something I forgot to add to this post - I also forgot to mention how the girl in the row behind me was being all protective of the hobbits. She’d say things like, “Don’t hurt my Sam!” lol… I was thinking the exact same things, just not saying that stuff outloud. I love the hobbits.

post Christmas/pre New Years

Saturday, December 28th, 2002

Is it just me or do the days from Christmas to New Years just sort of all mesh together? Nothing ever seems to happen. All the Christmas decorations are starting to be put up - which I always find kind of sad - in an “Awww, Christmas is over” sort of way. I’m looking forward to New Years though! What are your plans for ringing in the new year?

Ohh, that reminds me of this song:

“What’re You Doing New Years Eve?” - Ella Fitzgerald
:)

oops?

Saturday, December 28th, 2002

I’ve been finding out that no one got the online-greeting cards I sent them for Christmas (except a couple of people)… Hmmm…. Odd. Anyways, I sent quite a few… and they’re all sitting in my Yahoo “My Greetings” as not being viewed yet. Strange, no? Ahhwell!

If you didn’t get an online card from me and you know me - that’s why. I know that probably sounds like an excuse or something for not sending anyone cards, but it’s really not. :)

so very true…
