I can’t believe it’s been a week since I took the EVIL little pill that started all this.

Anyways. Sorry for being so quiet.. I owe a lot of emails and stuff. I don’t feel very talkative. I’m actually kind of worried about all these after-effects that are still around.

Oh! I just noticed I hadn’t posted since Tuesday - before the doc appt. Well! He told me he had never seen someone have that sort of reaction to that pill. He helped a lot though - and I go back in a few days to see how things are.

I’ve been doing some research of my own - and I found out the name of the stuff that can cause ringing in the ears - that is used in pain killers & stuff… then I did a little more research and found out this particular medication is used in what I took… and… it’s also the sulfa medication that I was allergic to.

(Oh man, am I being boring or what?) This is just what my life has revolved around this week.

Okie, so - update… Dizzy feeling = gone. Headaches = show up when I get in bright light. My ears are ringing too (It started the day all this did) and it won’t quit. It just feels like my entire body is on vacation and only a few things work. lol

I’ve never had a reaction to anything as badly as this… I’m really wanting it to go away soon - that’s why I’m on my way to the doctor right now. *fingers crossed*

Oh, and guess what? I’m running off of 2 or 3 hours of sleep in 48 hours. I really don’t like that either. It’s another thing that’s show up.

I was thinking about making a post of all the wacky stuff I’ve watched on TV. I mean - if you’re in bed for so many days straight and ya can’t sleep - you’re going to end up seeing some weird programs.

Here’s one. I woke up the other night - must have been 3am.. and on TVLand - Superman was on… the old black and white tv show? well, this is all I heard/saw… Clark Kent sitting at his desk in his office talking to a little cute dog… and he’s going through the list of people he can give the dog to ’cause he can’t keep it… and he says this line, I swear….“I can’t keep you, you’re the only one who has seen me as Clark Kent and Superman. No one must find out.

I’ve been stuck in bed for 2 days. Basically, to summarize - I took a pain killer that I had never taken before because my back was bothering me… and I had this awful reaction. I’ve had a constant-migraine for 2 days… I have to wear sunglasses all the time because light just bothers me… It turns out the pill I took - one of the ingredients.. I’m very allergic to. I had no idea they put it in pain killers (sulfa) so.. yeah, I guess taking a pill you’ve never taken before can be risky.
I hope everyone is OK - I’ll talk to ya’ll in a few days.

I was watching Le Battement d’ailes du papillon again earlier… (it’s one of my fave movies - so I watch it a lot) Anyways, anytime I watch it it just makes me think… the movie is basically about how all these random events that you would think have no connection end up causing things to happen. One of the characters describes it as this - “The Butterfly Theory” - that a butterfly flapping its wings over the Pacific can cause a hurricane in the Atlantic.. that one tiny thing can change the way things turn out. I know I’ve posted about this before probably but it’s fascinating to me… It’s kind of interesting to think about… think of how something may not have happened if the events leading up to it had never taken place. Or how you may have never met so&so. Interesting.
