Free For All Friday is over now - thanks to Luka & Lisa for participating! :) We’ll do it again at the end of March. (Yikes! This year is flying by…)

Why am I still awake? *looks at the clock*

snow! =D

Thursday, February 26th, 2004

It’s snowing!
We’re supposed to have 8 inches by this time tomorrow.. I’m curious to see if that will happen! I haven’t seen that much snow since I was a kid.

It has been lightly snowing since about midnight last night - but none of it was sticking to the ground except for the past hour or so.

Yay! I love it when it snows - I hardly ever see it. (well, when I do - it is gone within an hour.) It is so beautiful out there right now. :)
Anyways - how is everyone? things here are okay, nothing that interesting to report. Well, I do have one thing I want to babble about right now… I watched the best movie last night. :) I’ve watched quite a few movies over the past two weeks. but this one just stands out.

Happy Accidents.. heard of it? I hadn’t either. It was a random rental. It’s not the typical love story.. There is no real formula it follows. and you can never guess what will happen next. It’s not cheesy or lame.. and it’s actually one of the best movies I’ve seen this year. I’ve heard it’s played on the IFC (Independent Film Channel) - I’ll keep my eye out. I want to get this DVD though.

ohh, what a chipper entry!

I feel like I’m in a zombie mode — except it has been lasting… for well, too damn long.

Overwhelming.

I’m really f’n sick of recluse mode.. ahhwell, it’ll pass. It always does. Things are getting better on the health-front (just too slowly for my liking) but I just seem to be.. not here? I’m quite distant. I hate it. When I do try to get caught up on things - I get overwhelmed too quickly.

Emails are always an issue with me but right now I feel like ripping my hair out. I was doing a bit of cleaning up (deleting) the other day and I found some old journal entries/letters/emails/etc that I didn’t know were saved.. and I wished I hadn’t read. I hate it when stuff like that happens. Why do we do that? It seems to be just another form of torture, I guess! it isn’t bothering at the moment - but it was a few days ago.

Gee, I’m in a great mood - aren’t I? Nah, I really am. I’m just tired. very tired. I went a few days without sleeping.. and I’m also mad at myself for neglecting this place. I’m not being alerted of new comments so I didn’t know anyone had commented.

I had a fantastic day.. (no really, I did! :) ) I got to spend the day with my fave aunt & uncle. I haven’t seen them in months - so it was quite nice! :)

How is everyone? What’re you reading at the moment?

is she alive?

Well, my goal to post more this week didn’t go so well now.. did it? :sorry:

Happy Day after V-day! How’d it go for everyone? Mine was alright, I wasn’t doing much… watching movies. I did receive flowers from my grandparents (daisies ) but I was annoyed with the fact the florist didn’t deliver my mother’s flowers. They were set to be delivered by Friday and yet… they never showed.

Anyways, other than that..it was a fine weekend. Nothing overly-special.. I’m not a huge fan of Valentine’s Day. *cringes*

V-day movie plans

Monday, February 9th, 2004

Oh, how I love not sleeping. No really. I love it.

*yawn*

I’ve been making plans for my Valentine’s Day movie-marathon. (a tradition!) I’m not a big fan of V-day (we’re enemies! Grr!) but I enjoy a great movie marathon. So, I’ve been having a hard time deciding what to put on the list though…Don Juan DeMarco will be on the list because well.. it’s Johnny. Same goes for Benny & Joon. Before Sunrise will be watched also. *thinks* Chocolat. Oh, how could I forget.. Amelie! Maybe Moonstruck.. Roman Holiday… what else. See, I can’t decide! Lord of the Rings will be on the list because what movie says V-day better than LoTR? hehe.. (I couldn’t resist.)

Or I could go another way and watch a bunch of horror movies. *thinks* haha, but then there is the high chance that I’ll scare myself so much that I won’t sleep for a few days. (Well, how would that be any different though?)
Help me decide!

=)

I actually started posting this the other day but it never got posted.. Whoops. Things here are okay, I signed up for an online art appreciation/history course and that’s what I have been working on the past few days. It’s just for fun.. but I’m having a ton of fun working on it. I’m in love with it actually.
So if you’re wondering where I’ve been - that is where I can be found!

I’ll post the rest of this in a few minutes.. I wanted to go ahead and get this posted since it’s been sitting on my desktop for so long now. :sorry:

an all night movie marathon

Thursday, February 5th, 2004

*head hits keyboard*

I couldn’t sleep last night so I ended up having my own little movie-marathon. I watched two mediocre/crap movies and one good movie.. which makes up for the others.

I’m so dead tired right now though I’m practically seeing double so we’ll see if I can get through this post without crashing.

The best movie of the night was L’auberge espagnole. I heard about the movie because it had Audrey Tautou in it (she was in Amelie for those that don’t know who she is). I love French films so I had high hopes for this one. The story is basically about a young French man who goes to grad school in Spain and has roommates from all over the world. (England, Germany, etc…) It’s about their lives.. experiencing love… (the main character has left his girlfriend back in France.. that’s Audrey’s character) learning a new language.. experiencing life in a new culture.. and basically learning to live life on their own. I never knew quite where the storyline was going.. there’s a scene when all the roommates are at various places throughout Barcelona and they find out their roommate’s boyfriend is on his way to their apartment.. yet his girlfriend is there with another man. How they all rush (they’re communicating through cellphones) and plot how to fix things ended up being completely entertaining - because I never knew what would happen next. :) I really enjoyed this movie.. It isn’t perfect.. looking back - I don’t feel any connections with the characters really.. but the movie has such a fast pace that you never get bored…it kept me entertained.
